#2 is my fav. Very nicely done. I don't dare put "i have nothing better to do" cause I am positive that my wife will find something for me to do.

#2 is also my fav. Try brightening it and adjusting the Levels to raise the black point and to lower the white point.

Thanks Harry, would dearly love to see those shots.

    Thanks Otavio.

Thanks Jon - don't tell her then.

Thanks Mike. I do not know how to execute your advice (brightening excepted).

I gave it a try - added a curves layer and just used auto, then lowered the opacity somewhat to get this

You achieved the exact results I hoped for. I would have lifted the top half of the curve and I would have used the Levels tool to move the left arrow to the right and the right arrow to the left. I would have hoped to have achieved the results that you achieved, which proves that there are often multiple ways to accomplish the same thing.

By the way, I am very certain that I would have removed the silk, which would have ruined the photo.

Thanks Mike. I had 10 to work with and stood them into an egg carton for the vertical look. I had no particular plan and just looked at angles and perspectives. Removing the silk just did not register. Will pay more attention to detail in the future.

Great idea about using an egg carton! You also gave me another idea for using an egg carton as part of a photo.

Interesting shots and very nice. I too, like number 2 but I also especially like #1 because of the way the colours blend and fade away... ie; possible art piece

...Wouldnt it be easy to shoot them horizontal, placed over a table and them rotating the image 90 degrees? (or maybe I am missing something )

I really like the #2 and the edit is still better! Cheers!

Mike - that is what this place is all about - ideas!

Thanks Christina - all were not particularly difficult shots, give it a try. Not sure about the art bit though.

Otavio - thanks. I did think of that but wanted 2 rows to work with and the egg carton was just lying next to the recycle bin so... Unfortunately the 2 row shots did not quite turn out the way I was hoping. May try that again one day.

What I was hoping to get was something like 1 but with just the tops of the corn fading away into the distance like 2 lanes but did not work out. ;(
