Re: Trip to Atlantic City, NJ
I also did a "fake" HDR / Tonemap, I like to leave with at least one idea for an "HDR" from each location.

Re: Trip to Atlantic City, NJ
Hi Zach,
I like the 2nd and 4th. I would inclined to crop a little from the bottom of the 2nd - possibly just above that little white patch in the lower left corner.
I'm not sure if I prefer the colour of b&w for the 4th, but I would have focused a bit further down the row - probably the 2nd or 3rd machine.
The first one might have worked for me if it was only the fixtures, but the inclusion of the cords and fittings puts me off - kinda mundane.
I think the last one needs to include a bit more of the light and the pattern on the floor. I prefer the coloured version to the hdr, but I am funny that way.

Hi Zach,
In the picture of the lights you have done well to expose the photo. I also like the patterns in the lights. I think another composition may have worked better. I would perfer that the edges weren't clipped off or maybe if the top left light had a little more breathing room.
The second shot is well exposed as well. I dont think its that interesting though. If there was a couple walking by or a drunk you would have something. Sometimes when you find a composition that you like its worth the wait.
The third shot is a neat lighting effect but I dont find the newspaper machine to be interesting. Maybe if it was smashed up with graffiti covering it.
Number four needs a little old lady smoking a cigarette looking miserable.
Five i would have liked to see the rest of the room. Try a vertical panorama.
And for the final photo I think you need a wider angle lens. It looks like a cramped in that room. Architectural photographers would want to make a room look spacious.
Hope I'm not being harsh,
Jason
