    Auchentoshan 21yo Special release

Hey guys, i tried to fix some of the problems i had with my previous picture, i hope its as enjoyable!

I noticed the halo from the flashlight on the upper corners but to me it felt a bit as a spotlight effect like in a theater, Id like to have some feedback on that point

    Same setting as last time

    iso100
    10sec shutter
    f/16

Donald, hopefully that one suits your taste better haha!
    cheers

    Auchentoshan 21yo Reserve

    Thanks!

Oh yeah, I think I see what you mean with the theatre light.

An image is right and successful if it faithfully serves your vision for it

I'm just wondering if it might provide a little more subject isolation if you moved the background well back from the subject and lit it independantly of the subject. BTW, was the flash on the camera? Is that 10 seconds or 1/100th of a second with the shutter?

Hi Hans, thanks for the feedback!

i will try to put the background furtherback for my next bottle ( i'm thinking about doing a whisky gallery)

it was a 10sec solid shutter speed with no flash, taken in pitch black (no light at all). i used a flashlight and angled at the "scene" differently for the whole shutter duration to remove shadows.

Now, that's a high-end whisky. A man with very good taste!

I love the clarity you have it that image and, obviously, the lighting contributes significantly to that.
