Egret having a snack

In the "Ding" Darling reserve in Florida, spotted this egret that had just caught its lunch. But it was obviously having difficulty managing it:



When you look more closely you can see why. A very surprised looking little puffer fish which definitely didn't want to be lunch. Sadly for the fish, but happily for the egret, lunch was served.

the first image shows those wonderful feet and the crop full of anticipation; a good catch for the egret and you, the photographer at that moment. Well done!

Interesting real life wildlife shots with good focus and exposure, Dave.

I would like to crop a little from the background above the bird's head in the first one. But difficult to find an alternative standard size. Maybe a square crop?
