Nice composition!

Try a technique that SteveS taught me: select the white area and apply a rather strong inverted S-curve to increase the detail in that area.

The entire subject would also benefit in my mind from an application of local contrast enhancement.

Yes, I agree with Mike's comments. But these are merely slight tweaks. There isn't a lot wrong with your image, which was obviously a tricky exposure.

The only thing I would change is a slight crop from the left side and bottom.

The flower tip is fairly close to the top edge, but this isn't a problem for me. However, that combined with quite a bit of stem does look a little off balance to me. Only a very slight crop though; 10% should be sufficient, maybe a little less.

I should have used a tripod. It was handheld: ISO on 800, 1/100sec, F5.6 with 35mm focal length of 202mm. (Non VR lens.)

Hi Andre,

From the thread title alone, I imagined this being a "goodbye all, nice to have known you" because the OP (which I now know is you), had ordered an expensive lens on the internet and the partner was going to find out tomorrow and commit a murder (perhaps manslaughter)

Being serious - I prefer the revised version, but without the dots Mike mentions (in fact there are a few others dotted about, dimmer, possibly single colours)
