Some shots of my local Football Team Gulval 2nds.Just acquired a new Tele lens and was keen to try it out.

1/250 is a bit slow for action shots like this, Matthew, and you do have a little motion blur in some parts of the scene.

But difficult to avoid in the bleak English winter light.

I think I would have risked a bit of 'image noise' by increasing the Iso slightly to give a faster shutter speed.

You have captured the action well.

I did try with a faster shutter speed and higher iso but it was a rather grim day and i was not happy with the results.
But i was more than happy with the way my Lens ( basic model ) performed.
