This works very well for me. Perhaps the colors of the rising sun are a bit too intense, but not by a lot.

Beautiful landscape. I wonder if you have too much contrast and a bit oversharp? With mist and fog, I like a bit more softness to help the feel of the misty morn. Just a suggestion.

    Hi Jeff,
I agree with the points already made, but overall a nice shot.
    Thanks for sharing.

Was wondering if you had got lost in the snow.

A typical Jeff type landscape capture. Beautiful and peaceful. Just a hint of softening would help but is great as is.

Interestingly, there's just capture sharpening applied here, with screen sharpening on export from Lightroom.

Interesting comment re the contrast - I can control this in HDR EFX Pro & I'll experiement.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Thanks Bobo, the weather has been terrible lately, & I can't even see the landscape, let alone photograph it ! I'll try a bit of negative clarity on the mist an see what happens.

I'm going to persevere with HDR EFX Pro - it looks promising. Thanks again to all for the responses.
