Everything about this works so well for me. People who don't view it in the large size are really missing an opportunity.

An excellent composition, Wayne. It appears a bit soft, particularly on the ship and pier, as if this was a significant crop of a larger image? As the ship and pier are not the main subject it is not as important but owing to the contrast difference, my eye is drawn to these objects once I take in the immensity of the storm cell.

A very intense bit of storm, just how wet do you think you would get if that opened up above you?! For me, I think I would tone down the blue in the sky some....unless of course it was that blue.

Thanks guys for your comments. It was actually a landscape with a sunset on the left side which didn't impress. I should have got the zoom out to focus more on the poor little ship but its pretty sharp when you click on it a look closer. I used a polariser filter to define the clouds more and capture the rain which brings out a bit more colour also.

    Hi Wayne,
    I like this very much.
I don't think I would want to be on that ship, looks like trouble wasn't far away.
    Thanks for sharing.
