Hi Jon, back home and looking at your photo's on the iMac. WOW
They are all brilliant in their own way, each has something that makes it stand out for me.
I would have to say that now after looking at them for a while the last would have to be my pick of them. I love the brassy tones on the ring and the edge of the compass and to be honest I don't think the dust detracts from the images at all, in fact, gives it all the more of an antique feel.

Thank you all for your comments and more ideas for the future, yes, I can see an old wilderness map in the background.
Here are what they looked like OoC
This one has had some color adjustment and toning but the main difference was the light to the left, it is an LED(12 white & 4 red) and I had ALL of them on. I can't really see the red OoC but as soon as I started playing with it the red tint started to show

I didn't realize that you had cropped so much. Are the files still large enough to make a print for your mother?
