    Re: Anybody Like These?

    Hi Kevin,

I have been mulling these over since you first posted.

#1/1a I would personally prefer as a tinted monochrome, there seems to be some green (grass or moss?) where the track curves that jars with my expectation of it being a tint. I can't fault the framing/composition beyond wondering if a very slight clockwise rotation would be worth trying - but every other time I look at it I think "no, that's ok as it is"

#2 doesn't work for me, the noise has already been mentioned, but it too might take some c/w rotation.
Normally when I am at somewhere like #2, I am looking for wildlife, and when this is what I see, it is obviously a disappointment, but that's just me

    HTH,

thanks, Dave. I initially was on the fence whether to leave the hint of green as it appeared naturally, but given I've changed the hues of everything else, it's probably a greater distraction than an interesting addition. I'll be reworking this as a monochrome, and experimenting with the tinting. You've helped nudge me off my fence.

    Radu,

You (and all CiC members) are always welcome to offer up an edit of any of my images- I very much appreciate you taking the time and it is sometimes a more efficient communication than a narraitve. Very creative and clever use of utilizing strategic mirror images. The merge in the middle needs some work, but this certainly is a good indicator of the possibilities. I personally liked the water lilies better than the foreground bushes, but I'll have a play at both. thanks for opening my eyes to the possibilities.

Ctrl J to obtain layer1 then Flip layer horizontal then Erase tool at small opacity then a little Clone stamp tool at small opacity, then Lasso tool at 50px at the the lilies to bright them with decrease the contrast(no more than 15min)
