    All good photo's Bobo.
    The first two are my favourites.
    I have no idea what that beasty is in the first image, very unusual.
    The colour and texture on the beetle in the second image is wonderful, the brightness behind it is the only distraction.

    Thanks Greg, Steve, Randy, Terri, Mike.

    I am told that #1 is a weevil of some kind. Not an insect expert but if Geoff steps in he might be able to confirm.

    Yes not Ontario, I am currently in HK. Birds are plentiful but have to go a long way for them so switched to bugs which are plentiful around any stream or roadside.
