Excellent article, Colin. Even more so given, as noted in an earlier thread, the 70-200 f4 L IS is on its way!

Great way to confront a common misconception.

This one's by far the best of the bunch:

Thanks Donald - I'm sure you'll love the lens. I've been using my F2.8 version a lot more recently.

Thanks Sean, although to be honest, "Lone Tree Vista" is my firm favourite at the moment; I've got a 1.6, wide canvas version in the office with me!

    Yes, Congrats again Colin,

You have a knack for that kind of thing and there is more useful content in your articles than many of the others I find.

    Well done,

Great article, Colin. I see my work is referred to:

"If I use a truly wide-angle lens -- with a focal length anywhere from 10 to 24mm -- and then simply place the horizon somewhere around the middle of the frame and take the shot, with nothing in particular in the foreground, I nearly always end up with a pretty boring shot."

Oh - sorry - I thought you got that "technique" from me!
