    Football Photos

    Hi folks,

It's been a busy fall for me, and I've been away from the board for a while. I took these pictures of the football (soccer for my US friends )team at the school where I work. I took these with a Nikon D7000 using a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G AF-S ED VR II. My goals were to - (1) stop the motion, and (2) nail the focus, (3) get good exposure, and (4) shoot the eyes.

    C&C welcome and appreciated.

And I think you have accomplished that very well indeed. So, object achieved.

In terms of overall image quality, my immediate reaction is that in #1 and #3 there is a fundamental element missing - The Ball.

I would suggest that 2 and 4 are significantly stronger due solely to the fact that the ball is in the image. Think of it this way - if you had just landed from Mars and saw these, would you know what was going on in #1 and #3?

LOL Donald. I had to chuckle a bit. Yes, you are right.

I guess I should add goal (5) get the ball in the shots.

    Thanks for the comment!
