Salmon leap
Caught this salmon trying to negotiate a waterfall today, thought it was absolute mince but the more I view it the more I like it, any thoughts would be most welcome...

Re: Salmon leap
I haven't completely come to terms with the whole smoothing water out process and wonder if you had captured more of the turmoil of the water rather than it being smoothed out if the fish would have been more visible? I am probably not saying it right. I think the concept of the struggle against the water and odds is a good one. Maybe cropping down from the top a little to lighten up that brown area is that a log or rock? Don't think it is a mince.

Re: Salmon leap
I know what you mean, Bernard. The more I see it, the more I like too.
The one question I had was whether there needs to be so much at the top or could it be cropped to something like a 2:1 ratio (keeping the bottom and the sides).

Re: Salmon leap
Thanks to all for viewing and comments gives me a bit of encouragement...it,s amazing to see these fish trying to get up these falls to spawn as the water flow is very powerful
