    Hi Bill,

It's me again. I'm back from Everest Base Camp and finally got around to processing my photos. I didn't manage to get a shot of the Milky-Way in the end due to clouds, extreme cold and no stunning framing opertunites when I did eventualy see it. Anyway, you were interested in viewing my pictures when I got back so here they are. I hope you like them!

For me, no. The second version is cropped to an uncomfortable proportion.

I didn't mind the dark foreground in the first version.

    Hi Bill

I love "astrophotogrpahy".Like Phil, I'd like to see some foreground detail rather than just the silhouette. I always try to get a shot at dusk to layer in. I know you can go to a lot of effort to get these shots and people who haven't ever taken them might not appreciate that.

    Mark,

Thanks! I was traveling with non-photographers, and while they were both incredibly accommodating of my interests, I didn't want to impose too greatly. So we hung out in the park after dark for a bit and then got moving (we saw one bear while moving from one location to another, and after that some folks weren't overly enthusiastic about staying out in the dark for very long!
