Date with the birds and the bees

Oh what a wonderful day I have had. Armed with my beautiful 14 month old grand daughter, my camera and zoom lens and a bag of bread I scooted around the corner to see how my little ducks were doing. No babies yet but I"m sure they are not far off. Then I was lucky enough to catch a lone bee finishing up the pollen collection as all the daisy's started closing for the night. (1st time trying to capture something so small and detailed)

Hope you enjoy the shots. C & C's most welcome

All very nice. The ducks always bring up a smile in me and the wife sometimes asks why am I smiling at the monitor.

For next time - use a smaller aperture if light permits and focus on the eyes - always the eyes or the head. Same goes for insects, eyes or head.

    Thanks Bobo,

I too have fallen totally in love with ducks. They look so different through the lens, the vibrant colours, the detail in their feathers and of course so full of personality and antics.

I will try to apply the advice next time I go for my stroll around the corner. Hopefully there might be some chicks to reward me.

That would be great.... I missed out on these kind of shots the entire summer.
