Re: Hummers
Thanks Bedanta, Gretchen for your encouraging words. I appreciate that and those in the preceding replies.
I do have to thank Steve (Steve S) whose tutorial a while back got me started to think about photographing these birds. Have always felt that they were way too fast and too small for my shooting skills. Frankly that day, did more wrong then right. Now that I know, hopefully a trip tomorrow or day after will yield better results.

Re: Hummers
Neat set! For me, number five is about as close to 'picture perfect' as it gets!

Can't add more constructive comment to what others above have already posted, other than to say I learned from your posts, enjoyed them and so thank you for sharing.

Re: Hummers
Great set, Bobo! You nailed ‘em!
It seems that our Hummers are fattening up and getting ready for the migration. I probably won’t get a chance at them again this year.
You are right about shooting these little speed demons. But I have to say they are one of the most fun subjects I have ever attempted.
About the only thing I might suggest would be that if you have a mind to, a nice subtle vignette (on all but the first) might help them stand out a bit more.
But either way a great batch!

Re: Hummers
Hi Bobo,
I can only admire these shots with a little envy. Tried some shots of birds this weekend and failed!

Re: Hummers
Hi Bobo, well done a great set of images. I like #5 the best. Well done on the skill and endeavour to get the images. I must admit my bird photography is nowhere near this standard, that's why I stick with Ostriches

Re: Hummers
Bobo,
Love the images. One question what lens do you use. Your images are always sharp and a joy to view.

Thanks Frank, Paul, Ken, Victor, Terry, Andre, Serge, Clive, Otavio, James, Victor.
Frankly I am overwhelmed and obviously happy and very appreciative.
But it was the subject. Somehow it evokes quite a bit of feeling in any photography circle. I was just snapping what I could.
Now back to something more mundane like ducks for example.
