    Food glorious food...

    Black-crowned night heron.

Was playing around with Nik Color Efex and tried its Details Extractor filter - worked wonders with the fish in #4 details of which I thought were not there due to distance and size. Lightly used in #1-#3.

Some excellent 'real action' shots there, Bobo.

It's really a shame in the last one that the blade of grass cuts exactly through the middle of the bird's head. That would be a really special image if it weren't there. Where were your scissors when you needed them?

Thanks Geoff. Funny thing is the action is unseen until the shots are viewed back home. Thought I was being stupid taking shot after shot of something that seemed pretty immobile from my position.

Thanks Mike - yes it is. I have an much better shot but with 2 blades crossing and the eye mostly hidden. Grrr. Cloning is an option but lacking in pp skills for that kind of surgery. How did you know the bag has a pair of scissors? Shhhh, also a cutter.
