Jack, the flowers appear very bright on my monitor. I wonder if it wouldn't be better to darken them somewhat so they do not draw attention away from the insects.

Very well done Glenn. Photographing dragonflies is difficult for me as it seems there is always some part of the subject that is out of focus. You have demonstrated the importance of alignment to properly capture a sharp image of these beautiful insects along with your mastering the difficulties of macro photography.

nice one glen,
it is a broad bodied chaser, (male). libelula depressa. its been a good year for these in the uk despite the poor weather.
