Trace,
What a beautiful picture, wonderful composition and colours; I love it.
Well done.
Very nice Trace, love the artistry.

Thanks John, Thanks Dave. Glad you both enjoyed it. I was fortunate to get a little cloud cover near to the horizon as most of our days have been sparkling blue but cloudless of late.
Beautiful image Trace. I wish I was there watching the sky change minute by minute.
Wonderful colors! I'm sure there are a number of compositions that will work well. Consider cropping extensively on the left side to bring out the line and texture of the beach. Doing so will create a totally diferent image, not one that is necessarily better or worse, but well worth a try in my opinion.
Hey Joe, And as quickly as the sky was changing, the tide was coming in too. When I first set up there was a small trickle of water and lots of corrugated sand... I just love watching the transitions of beach sunsets and sunrises
Hi Mike, I did play with quite a few and there was an 8x10 probably a bit along the lines you are suggesting. I ended up settling on the pano crop as I like the tropical grounding the palms give in terms of giving the photo a sense of place. But I loved the focus on the curves and textures within the 8x10. Let me know if this is the type of crop you were envisioning...
Thanks for the laugh Trace. I always get a bit of a smile when anyone in your neck of the woods uses the word "Winter". Sand, clear sky and open water (not solid). Your winters are warmer than our summers. Nice photos.
I was thinking of the same cropping, but did not want to comment. The new crop really emphasizes the textures in the sandbar and the colors of the sky without pulling your eye away. This is a framer.
Wow, Trace - nice picture. I love the colors and the composition. Well done.
