I took these shots yesterday. The mountains are the Grand Tetons. I was about fifteen miles away in another mountain range. I enjoyed a couple of hours of quiet just trying to photograph some of the beauty.

I'm probably getting to be a boring old ..... , but that sounds like bliss. I crave moments like that. To be able to get that in this location ....WELL. It can't get much better.

I feel the sun still being in view kills the second one a bit. I much prefer the effect in the first one. I actually wondered what a 3:1 ration panorama, cropping just below the dark cloud, would look like?

Donald, There is a kind of peacefulness that I seem to find only in the mountains, generally when I am out with my dog as my only companion. These are the times I don't even talk to myself.

Here are the same photos with the 3:1 ratio. Great suggestion. Thank you for your help.
