    'Just a simple flower'

    Hi all,
I been stuck indoors for a few days now and have missed using my camera, so I had to improvise. Flowers are not normally my thing; "but need must and all that"
    Well, here's my humble attempt.
    C&C welcome.

Very nicely done. A nice, simple composition, and very delicate lighting. I prefer the B&W. The flower is white anyway, and the image is mostly about lines and tones, not colors.

    Thanks Dan,
I prefer the B&W one myself, but this is so much outside my comfort zone I wasn’t sure.
Thanks for looking and giving me some feedback it’s very much appreciated.

I prefer the colour version . I like the vignette and in the colour version the flower seems more delicate.

I don't know. The B&W looks almost porcelain to me. The color version looks alive and delicate. hard to choose. Both are beautiful!

Hi John, I prefer the delicate tones in the second one but am not sure about the background colour and you can see the fabric texture in the foreground.

Great start though and the flower is nicely selected and composed within the shot.

Foam sheeting makes a good and flexible background.
