A great photo. Did you plan it and use a tripod or was it a quick handheld photo before the bird disappeared?

I shot from a Gitzo tripod with Wimberley mount set up from my SUV. Hand holding a Canon 600 is very difficult for me, it is just to heavy. Great Egrets when fishing are not normally easily spooked, this one hung around for about 30 minutes.
If you are in BC ( my favorite place in the world) be glad it is really hot and dry here in Oklahoma
