Re: Mind your step
There is a lot to look at in that scene; yet it doesn't seem 'cluttered'.
I suppose that is part of the principles of Japanese garden design.

Wow, that certainly is busy, but there is enough blacks to offset the rest and I really like it.

I like it; esp the way the curve of the steps are set in the picture. divides & softens & contrasts all the interesting bits & pieces of the whole picture.

Re: Mind your step
Hello everyone,
the picture is indeed very busy. First I was afraid that there is way too much in the frame. I am happy that you like it. This garden has so much beautiful details everywhere.

Re: Mind your step
A beautiful Japanese garden. I hope you don't mind though, I have taken the liberty to darken and somewhat desaturate part of the image to lead the eyes more along the steps and up to the left part of the picture. Just another interpretation of a greatly detailed photo.

Hi Patrik,
your alsways welcome to do so. Your darkend version leads the eye better one the stone path and makes the leafs around look more like a framing. Overall I find it a little bit too dark, so I thing I will have to experiment a little bit more with this picture. Thank you for your suggestions.
bye
