Sunset - St Martin de Ré, Île de Ré

Hi All,

This is a sunset shot I got of the small lighthouse at St Martin de Ré, Île de Ré. It really was this spectacular. I sat there with my wife and a bottle of local wine and snapped away!

All I have really done in PP is to bring out some detail in the foreground, as the lighthouse and sea wall were almost sillouhetted. It's a one shot conversion. I am pleased with the outcome.

Very nicely done Tommy. The clouds are stunning. It's perfectly exposed and has a very nice composition. I have the same camera and lens. I've really enjoyed the three years I've spent with it. Although I have been dreaming of upgrading to a better lens lately.

Thanks Donald. I used the adjustment brush in ACR and painted a mask over the wall and lighthouse and then increased the exposure a bit. It seems to have worked well and is clearly a powerful tool!
