    Once a ferry dock

Now habitat. I was out to catch some birds and this scene appeared as the sun rose. I just found it rather pretty with the new days light...lighting the algea and creating some nice reflections while the Cormorants got ready for breakfast. C&C always welcome.

Needs to be viewed large to appreciate the beauty of this shot. Nice catch.

One minor comment - the thick pillar at the bottom left appears to be a bit distracting.

Hope you don't mind but I did a minor edit.

I love everything about this, except the out of focus foreground. When I open this thread in my browser, the bottom of the picture was off the bottom of the screen and was at about a 2.5:1 ratio, with the bottom running along just at the bottom of that pole right in the middle of the frame. And that, I thought, looked really good.

Thank you both for the thoughts and edit. I may have another go at this one in the future.
