    Not a bee, Mark, but a hoverfly which pretends that it is a bee, they can even buzz like a bee. But no sting to worry about.

    One of the Eristalis family. If this was in the UK I would be thinking about Eristalis tenax for a species (Drone Fly).

    Yes,you are right. Only 1 pair of wings. Thanks for the info. I love learning new things.
