1st attempt on flowers was not sure what to do post prod wise so I just made some simple adjustments on raw files,

Very nice.
Sharon and Peter (Letrow) can throw in better advice.
My 2 cents -
- go smaller on the aperture to get more in focus.
- try different angles and positions, kneel or even lie down if that will get a better perspective.
