    HDMI vs Mini DP

    Hello everyone.

I am a little confused about these two types of connections.

My new mac Mini has both. I have no Monitor yet and am wondering whether both of these can drive 2560x1400? is the quality the same?

Will Mini DP to DVI work perfectly?

    Thankx

I think you've stumped the Mac boys Michael - you may need to down-grade to a PC

Thanks Robert ...... Mini DP = Mini Display Port

So my 2011 Mac Mini and new NEC MultiSync PA241W-BK-SV 24.1" are in the proverbial mail. The NEC is 1920x1200, so should I use the HDMI connections or the DVI? Does it matter?

Use the HDMI to DVI adaptor (which comes with the Mac) and then use the DVI to DVI cable which comes with the NEC. You should get an instruction book with the NEC. NEC also has helpful Tech support that you can call.
