    Pond and trees

Thought I'd have a go at some black n white shots at a local pond.
The line accross the pic is something to do with fishermen.
Not sure whether to lose it or not.
    Any pointers gratefully recieved.

    Steve,

I like it very much. Very emotive. I like the strong contrast and the grain. As far as the line across the pond-anything that doesnt add, detracts. It's not visually interesting, and it doesnt contribute to a story. My vote is to remove it.

It will be a stronger image without the line. Very nice, I would not mind having this hanging in my living room (that is a compliment!).

I agree that this is a very nice shot and I would hang it on my wall, also that the line is distracting from a very moody but relaxing picture.

I really like a lot about this image. The painterly sky, the grain, the light shaded top and darker bottom. I love the water/reflections, to me the strongest portion of the image.
