    Spring Pose

Mother with new born lamb, filmed in Devon last weekend. I love the expression on the mother's face but not at all sure what she is really thinking.

Nice shot of the mom looking at you.

Probably thinking - oh oh, the black thing does not look good...

The expression on both faces is very engaging.

From the technical perspective, you've got it wonderfully sharp and with what was potentially a challenge (white lamb, dark-faced sheep),you've nailed the exposure very well.

    Very cute!

I think though with most animal shots like this, it would be better if you'd got down to eye level with them, rather than looking down on them like this. You've given us a human-eye view of the sheep when a sheep-eye's view of them may help us to connect with them even more. I just wonder if you'd done this whether the protective mother may have had the inclination to come and ram you!

Nice cute expressions though. Not too sure about the 'dead' space on the left of the frame. Not sure it adds anything.
