    You might experiment with selectively lifting the exposure in the foreground, and unless the house is essential , would consider cropping just to the left of the taller trees. I too have waited in vain for some decent snow this year- never seen anything quite like this winter.

    I was just thinking that the exposure was accurate. That is pretty much what it looks like around here early in the morning on a dreary winter day. I get pulling the exposure up for the sake of the photo, but that is what I would actually see.

    Kevin, be careful what you wish for<BG>! I am wishing our latest snow would disappear.

    I would agree with Kevin. Having one house in the image is better than splitting the attention between two. It may be just the dark sky but the snow looks unusually muddy and grey.
