Helpful Posts: Hi, Sorry if this seems like a bit of a silly question but while watching a tutorial on LR3 the presenter shows how to make a new catalog, now I no how to do it but when he clicks for NC he gets the first image below for me the second, what is the differance please?

It looks remarkably like the difference between a Mac hosted version of LR (top) and one on a Windows machine!
My Mac version is the same, so I wouldn't worry, the functions the same. Just if you have never used a Mac it might surprise you.
(Incidentally, LR4 will not support Windows XP, (only Vista and 7) if you ever think about upgrading).
