    Agreed! I can believe there wasn't some sort of damage to lens or camera.

    Thanks everyone. I’ve been reading this thread with great interest as we are off to China on Saturday. First to Shanghai where temperatures should be just above freezing and then to Harbin for the ice festival. Temperatures there could be around -20°C.

    All set up with zip lock bags to counter humidity, silk gloves for operating and hand warmers for batteries. After seeing that photograph I am a little concerned about ending up with a camera welded to my eyelid! I might actually use the “live view” feature!

    Good idea Val! I haven't found a good use for it yet on my camera
    Seriously though, how cold can LCD's get and still function?
    I think I recall my TV manual said something about not storing it below freezing?
