One thing I like about using a prime is how it forces me to isolate/simplify more than a zoom, where I'm often tempted to include more by going wide. Here are some snaps I shot with my Nikon D80 while getting acquainted with my then new AF-S 35mm f/1.8.

wow... i really like your shots... most of my shots are like these but not on architectures.
i like the third shot the most.
