Hi Jiro. Yes it helps a lot, thank you very much. I have zero experience of this kind of shots and I'm not familiar with the concept of line families, thanks for pointing out. But it's still beyond me what kind of interaction created these "second" shadows. Much obliged for your reply.

The pseudo "shadow" that you must be seeing is an artifact from the "cleaning" process I did. This was done in a haste because I am merely trying out the concept about how silverware photography works. What I did learn from this action was that you need to surround the silverware with a very large white reflecting element or light source so the specular reflections will be all white. What's left for the dark areas are the outline of the silverware. I will post another shot without the cleaning so you can see the difference. Also, I changed the angle of the plastic film from 45 degrees to almost 30 degrees and I'm pretty sure it would make a difference on the angle and texture of the shadows. I'm a total novice on this kind of photography so don't take my words for it. I'm simply having fun learning this new stuff. Pics to follow.

    Here you go, Steve:

    2 Spoons.

Same setup but I did not clean up the gray cartolina so you can see how rough the surface is.

I don't think you can buy light bulbs like that around here; very creative lighting though. I like the detail in the spoons captured with spot on exposure, no shiny bits, very good.
