    Caribbean Reef Octopus

Alright - as promised, here is another photo from my recent dive trip.

One of my favorite subjects of the trip... Caribbean Reef Octopus (Octopus briareus).

And feel free to stop by my blog for more photos from the trip.

    Nicola,

I actually use an Ikelite housing. I've seen those waterproof bags, but for the kind of stuff I'm doing while diving, I don't think they would hold up. I also don't know what depth they are rated to - on this trip, we hit 110ft, so I need something that's rated pretty deep.

Thanks for viewing, glad you like it...

Hi Bill, they are all really nice images but because of the octopus' natural camouflage, it really takes seeing the series to get an appreciation of this marvelous creature. Thank you for sharing!

with that kind of gear, it's hard to capture a candid shot of a fish.. I suppose! just kidding!

thanks you very much for sharing those beautiful pictures... not a "frequently seen" subject at all!
