Rainy Day
50D w/Canon 100-400IS@400mm f/6.3 ISO 800 1/200"
I wanted to get some practice in with a new lens. The weather has been lousy. I read about using a plastic bag to protect camera and lens in bad weather, so I gave it a try. It worked great. I'm very pleased with the lens. I like the push pull zoom and the colour reproduction.

Re: Rainy Day
Nice shot Jim; I love to see animals displaying some of their characteristic behaviour and in a natural setting.
Hope your plastic bag is as of high quality as the lens & look forward to seeing her new hair style when its dried

Hi Jim,
I agree with Chris, good to see an animal actually doing something!
Normally they just sit/stand around doing nothing at all, or worse, scarper just as you're about to take their picture!
Seriously; a decent shot there, lens looks good.
Regards,

Hi Jim,
Nice capture, Do you have a bit zoomed out shot ? The only comment I have is regarding the framing, may be the animal with either front or all legs in frame .

Re: Rainy Day
There is an out of focus leaf in front of the deer's left ear which is a pity. It maybe possible to clone it out but I fear it might look unnatural then. Worth a try though.
Otherwise, a perfect photo.
