    Gravity Dam "Möhnetalsperre"

    Hi,

    this is a look at the gravity dam "Möhnetalsperre", build in 1913.

    Beautiful pic and the reflection is superb. It might have been better if the top of the center tower was also within the frame.

    I note Bobo's point about the reflection of the tower.

    But for me the main distraction is the heavy shadow falling across the wall of the dam (and being reflected) at the right hand side. I wondered how the image would be if you were to crop just to the left of that shadow.

    I also wonder about cloning out the 3 white panels that appear at the extreme left hand edge. Cloning the panels would be easy enough. Cloning out the reflection would be a harder job.

    This one screams to be a B&W...then again, I think everything screams to be a B&W, except perhaps a color wheel. So, I did some selective cropping and added a tad more shadow dimension which helps to draw the aeye from left to right, while the lighter hillside draws the eye right to left...the dam is strictly a leveling agent keeping both left and right sides balanced, even though it is the primary object of visual interest.

    I think that is a much stronger image.
