Bringing up some memories here....lived just North of Redbank in the early 90's. One thing you might do is straighten the horizon some. Does look to be a storm a brewin.

Nice capture. I think the it needs to be rotated to the counterclockwise a little also it has to much foreground for my taste. Love how you captured the wave mid break.

Here's my shot at an edit. Hope you don't mind Rob. I adjusted the horizon and crop. Then worked on making the clouds a tick more ominous. The wave is wonderful as shot. Lastly, I added a little unsharp mask in Photoshop. In any case, my 2 cents on a good capture out of the camera.

I think this is a nice rendition of the photo, it really helps tell the story of the impending storm. I do however still see {although very slight now} the horizon being one tick low on the right as we look at it. Splitting hairs but it is there.

That edit looks great empi314. Looks better as Sam pointed out, with less foreground.

Nice eye Paul. I looked at it a couple of times and thought I had it but I think you are right!

    Paul,

Isn't that the funniest thing? Sometimes it seems obvious to me in other photos but when I look objectively at my own there are things I miss. I guess that's why we are here!

When I first saw this image I immediately thought 'crop off the bottom' and that has been done. Much stronger compositon now. Well done.
