Well, you have to suffer for your art.
Don't like doing a 'compare and contrast' with a set (that's why I prefer seeing just one image in a post - but that's just me!), but this is my pick from the bunch above.
I think it's more 'complete' image. The composition, structure and content is balanced and harmonious, in a way that i don't think the others are. But maybe they're not meant to be. Maybe they are meant to challenge and 'jar'.
Having paused to think about it for a moment, the terms I would use are that the other three are aggressive, whilst this one is passive and peaceful. And that is a very subjective viewpoint.
Thanks Donald. Actually that was the only one I was thinking of posting but then "greed" took over.
Never thought of pics in "passive/aggressive" terms but see what you mean.
The things we learn here...
Thanks Giannis.
Well worth the effort! I like the first with the snail myself. How many times will any of us get a chance to get a well composed photo with a drop of water coming off the shell of a snail facing you horizontially on the side of a leaf? Not often IMHO. Great catch!
Thanks Al. They will come out when there is rain around.
Scott, thanks. He was quite obliging. Took a couple of poses.
