    Good series Will,

    If I may suggest a couple of things;
    #1 blur the sharp edged leaf on left
    #2 clone out or tone down that bright spot in lower right corner
    Also #2 looks like it might have been over exposed at capture, leading to a blown colour channel, you do need to be so careful with flowers in sunlight (been there, done that )

    My favourite has to be the cute little lizard (or frog) in #1.

    Cheers,

    Will,
    I think I like #1 the best. They are great shots and the color vivid. All are sharp. The only thing I noticed with #1 is the edge of the leaf in the top left of the frame distracts me a little. My eyes keep looking it and not the main subject.

    Interesting comments about the lizard shot. Just goes to show you how differently we can react to a given photo: for me, there's nothing wrong with the viewer having to scan the picture before his eyes finally settle on the little critter.
    I suppose it all depends on what you are trying to achieve. If this were an advertising shot involving the Geico gecko, you know, the one that's always trying to sell you cheaper insurance, you'd probably blur the leaf on the left some more or eliminate it altogether--along with a few other moves that would make the lovely lizard pop out even more. As a nature photo, however, I like your image very much--just as it is.
    Hey, just one man's perspective alongside all the others that are equally valid.

    Now you mention it, I see what you mean John.

    Still, at least they don't try to sell us cheap insurance in the UK, we have meerkats and dogs for that
