    Fall on Skyline Drive

I took this last fall at Big Meadows on the Skyline Drive in Virginia.

This looks like it must be quite beautiful - the size of the image is so small, though...

Reed, have you had a chance to read about how to post images? HERE's the link. Sorry if you've already seen this.

I've already noticed and thought that it's pleasant to have you around, Reed; so, I don't want this little technicality to discourage you - we've pretty much, all of us, had to go through these teething troubles.

My parents and sister drove the Skyline Drive, last September, and saw a mama bear with two cubs. I could see their enjoyment of it - the fresh beauty of it - in their eyes.

    OK, there's a bigger one.

Thanks for the kind words Katy. Yea, still learning this.

...and it is lovely and subtle! The grasses are beautiful (well, obviously). I'm not an expert on landscape photography but, to my eye, I wish that the cut off tree on the right, wasn't cut off and that it had more space to breathe. As it is, now, it's neither here nor there. (You know, I've taken the advice of the good people, here, on this forum and, now, always carry a chainsaw in my camera bag. I don't know what I'd do without it.) Well, also, I love the way the path meanders through the frame!

Between this, Jiro's wet leaf in the road and our weather - I feel like I've been waiting, all this time, for summer to come and suddenly my brain has skipped to Thanksgiving plans. Phew!

Yep, I'd agree with Katy's comments, Reed. The grasses are wonderful and that path takes our eye through the image. The person gives it a sense of scale. But, that tree...!

Thanks for the responses. I see what you are saying.

But, since I was in a national park, the chainsaw was out of the question. There is always Photoshop.
