    Bobo,

I don't know if it is just me or my monitor here at work, but it really seems to have some weird PP. It almost looks like the moon is *in front* of the clouds.

The detail in the second one is nice though.

Yeah - it isn't as pronounced in the original, but I think I still see it there too.

I think the problem is that the outer circumference of the moon is the brightest part of the image and as such, our eyes make us think that is the closest part of the image. Perhaps if you did a tiny bit of shading on the edge of the moon to tone that down?

Is'nt it better in some ways to have that illusion ?

Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

    Re: Day moon

What an interesting illusion that was, Bobo. It made me look at it longer than what I normally do scanning posts here. That means the shot is very intriguing.

Thanks Willie, lets keep it that way then.

And thanks Bill, your comments made me look at the pic in a different way which much improves my learning process

Had the same reaction as Jiro- I lingered. Most moon shots are either close ups with the right gear or the moon is sitting in a clear sky -I'd just leave it at the first two and number two is better.

    Bobo,

My apologies. I didn't mean to imply that there was anything wrong with it. It was just a weird effect that (like the others) made me do a double (and triple, and quadruple) take and look at the shot more closely.

I too find it kind of a fascinating effect - fascinating, but weird at the same time...

    Thank John.

Bill - No apologies please. Each comment about my pics is a learning process for me and am thankful to anyone who takes the time and effort to offer me something.

You are right about weird. haha

Who knows one day this may become a classic illusion pic. (I wish!).
