    Another Heron

    Whilst out yesterday morning in my homemade hide trying to capture a Kingfisher,no luck, this heron wandered into view.I tried to capture the bird doing something different and came home with these.C&C always most welcome, Best Wishes to All,

    Pat,

    #1 is the one for me. I love the warm sunrise lighting from the side, and the composition and focus are dead on.

    #2 just looks a bit weird for me, and #3 makes me think of an ostrich....

    Nice shots though!

    Hi Pat, I like all three for different reasons, as Bill says, the lighting for #1. But I like #2 because it is unusual and you can see the glow of the sun in the lower jaw. I like the action in #3, I can almost see the feathers ruffiling. For all three I wish the grass didn't cover most of the lower half of the Heron. Great exposure and depth of field control.
