    An Egret and A Crab

    Hi,

Here is a second set of pictures taken at the north end of Caladesi State Park. This is a White Morphed Reddish Egret and a Fiddler Crab in the setting sun. Your comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.

    Thanks
    Rob

Yes, photographing Egrets against a dark background is never easy.

I love them all - but especially #4 and #5! You have managed to portray what I always considered to be a graceful bird as a rather awkward looking one. I do like how #4 looks like he's running on the water... and what a look of determination! And #5 - well, he's got to be doing the Hokey Pokey...:-)

Really awesome shots. I love it when a photographer can capture a personality in birds, and you have done that!

Excellent shots rob. White is a difficult subject and you exposed it perfectly.

Great color and clarity in all of those. I think #2 shows it really well.
Frankie makes an interesting point... The egret does look awkward, almost uncomfortable with the way its running/walking through the water (in the 5th picture). You'd think its never had its feet in the water.... Great captures on all of them.

I liked #5....It's got some gum on the sole of his foot.
