I will be there in September.
Wonderful richness and depth of colour.
Thanks, Donald. I'd been wearing The North Face clothing for years before I realised that it's the north face of Half Dome, not the Eiger!

Nicely done.
Beautiful composition. Well done.
Tony
Lovely scene. Well captured. The colors are so vivid! Well done.
I didn't know that North Face clothing referred to Half Dome. Wikipedia states, "The North Face's quarter-circle logo, produced by California designer David Alcorn in 1971, evokes Half Dome, a massive granitic monolith in Yosemite National Park... The North Face originated after a hiking trip on the Eagle Mountain in Minnesota. The north face of a mountain in the northern hemisphere is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable route to climb."
I learn new things every day
That said, this is a very nice shot that has been scanned with great skill. Usually, I don't like the quality of scanned slides (as opposed to original digital images) but, this one is very nicely done...
You will enjoy for sure Donald. I just would like to suggest you to do not spend most of your time there just in the Yosemite valley. It is quite crowded and what mostly surprised me was the huge dimention and the beauty of the wilderness around. Don't miss Tioga road, and some walks starting from the road hotspots, if you are a good walker.
Have a good trip.

What a coincidence! Yesterday, I did my first-ever scan of some color-negatives with the recently-acquired Canon PIXMA and - guess what - there were mountains (Rockies, Canada, BC) in the snaps. My blue skies were equally noisy, BTW. Indeed how soon we forget, they looked OK on the K-mart 5x7 prints
Won't post any, I'm not into blur these days . .![]()
They looked ok when projected too! And my eyes were better then![]()
