I love shipwrecks, but to be perfectly honest, they are often in better shape when they are under water and protected from the storms and elements up top. Being backlit, the textures are hidden, which is really unfortunate as those details of 19th century shipbuilding are quite interesting.
The sky is exactly what I would have expected in this kind of shot.
If you get a chance, these old wrecks can look wonderful on stormy, overcast days. You'd find your usual techniques would have to be modified to capture them in those conditions.
