apologies that this post is a bit image heavy. Didn't notice prior to uploading that I have some
white around the planes to fix up

Wonderful series, Rita! Not a mediocre shot in the entire series, much less a bad one.

The US Navy Blue Angels had a photo shoot over Reagan Washington National Airport yesterday. In between flights over the airport, they flew around the area. They flew directly over my home twice in about 15 minutes. It was the only time I've ever seen them.

Mike, the Blue Angels are fantastic. They haven't been here for a few years now for the airshow. The last time they were here I had the same thing where they flew over my home. I was having a nap one afternoon and when they went over I woke up so suddenly and almost fell off the chesterfield

Dan, I had a very fun 3 days there. I was in a photo contest and all who were finalists got VIP access for 3 days at the show to photograph it, this was the final round in the contest. Haven't heard the results yet, we will find out some time in Sept.

My best preference here is #12 -- that is an excellent composition...
#7 shot -- is very nice too. I hate to say this but I have reservations about putting your camera on the wing though, or any other parts of the airplane on display to take a shot.

'Done a lot of Blue Angels -- even have their full autographs from last year at the Spirit of St. Louis airport. They committed to an every 2nd year for the show here near our airport so next May (2016) I will be there to cavort with them again...I like Skip Stewart better...a son of a friend of ours two hangars away from us is the photographer for Peggy Wagstaff...

Thanks Brian. The traffic jams are pretty long, I don't think that will ever change. We were very fortunate in that we entered through a different gate than all the spectators and we were there at 6:30 a.m. so we missed all the traffic.

Thank you Grahame. If I am to be honest I would say that #7 is my favourite from the weekend. I was happy the way it turned out.
