Everybody has said it all, but I have to chime in too!

The second shot is simply superb, I guess I like it more as in some way it seems to me to be more delicate than the turkey.

    Well captured.

I love snow -- just looking at the grounds...it is so beautiful just looking outside of the window...then SNAP! your beautiful, serenity suddenly collapsed: one of you better clear that driveway...

What I am trying to convey is that there are many things to photograph inside the house...e.g., set up a water drop session, or take that poinsettia plant you got for Christmas...etc., you do not have to endure the bitter cold outside then...just thinking out loud here..

I can't go out in those conditions as I have a condition, Raynaud's Syndrome, that causes the capillaries in my hands and feet to collapse rather than shrink in the cold. I suppose I could invest in battery-powered gloves and socks. I love the snow and the picture opportunities it presents.

Sorry to hear that George. While it can be fun in the snow going out into bitter cold and biting wind lumbered down by layers of clothing and gear is not fun. The best I can do with my bad back is go out when it is not windy.

    Thanks Robin.

Thanks Isabel - ahhhh the home stuff. I suppose so but this time round have other tasks to go through - like '000s of shots taken during summer that have remained unseen/untouched. We did have here a January thingy last year that concentrated on 1 pic a week made entirely with home stuff. It was fun.

Never mind a tripod, I would need a golf cart!

'Wonder if one of the mods or someone can bring that challenge to a good start since it is hunker time here...that would be fun...

Graham - I was thinking exactly that a sort of trolley thingy until a friend told me that the constant jarring the lens would be getting from uneven terrain would be bad. Makes sense since there are lots of moving parts inside lens.

Isabel - it was a community effort, someone suggested it and a few of us went ahead and did it.
